I have found your service to be very helpful and time saving. Not just in providing compiled programs, but also in the listing all the depends and having them that make your site work so well.
I just wanted to say a big thank you for providing such a great service in providing pre-built Solaris packages. It has saved us countless hours of time and effort over building them ourselves. Your response to our support request to quickly build new images of bind to address the latest serious security vulnerabilities was very much appreciated.
It is so great to find a company that not only cares about great customer support but delivers the same. Please keep up the outstanding work. The UNIX Packages service has saved our company thousands of dollars by providing us with binaries of open source packages that other companies were charging us thousands for. They have always done their best to respond to any questions we had in a timely manner. Thank-you for the great work. UNIX Packages has saved me tons of time and effort in compiling software!
I have often heard this sentiment echoed by many of my fellow system administrators. I appreciate all the time effort you provide. Further, I admire the clarity of thought and the consistency with which you have designed the software installation solution. It is an invaluable tool for me privately and professionally with its commitment to customers, know-how, and ever-expanding array of ready-to-install Solaris software.
We have to support one customer on Solaris while most of our work is on Linux. Your Solaris packages of open-source software have been saving us countless hours for many years now. The quality of the binaries is extremely high, and there is no point in compiling yourself given the amount of time I would have to invest understanding all the dependencies of the source files.
Without your pre-compiled package the Solaris platform would be dead. This site has everything. You need a package, go here.
As long as you get all of the dependency packages which are clearly identified if there are any the downloaded package will work fine.
I have recently recommended at work that they join your site and they recently subscribed to your service! I could not express to them enough about the excellent support that you provide! September 13, OpenSSL 3. Since this is a brand new release level, we suggest care in using it. We will not be building other packages using 3.
