A two-song single released by I. Dehumanizer Demos. This one is exhaustive. Forbidden Demos. Most fans will agree that Forbidden is not a good record. This is a collection of demos from the record that actually sound pretty awesome. Or maybe that is for the better. You are commenting using your WordPress. Badly designed. Incompetent to the point of dishonesty. This a great show and one of the Sabbath bootlegs that ought to be released. I have the 13 remaster, hope this is as good as that one.. I found the 13 remaster just a bit too harsh and compressed sounding, like a modern brick-walled CD but I suppose it depends on your ears and what equipment you are listening to the music on.
No lesser audiophile than Professor Stoned stated that this recording needs no re-mastering and after listening to three different versions I would agree with his opinion. Never cottoned much to Sabbath, but for some reason I loved 'Sabotage'. So this show is right up my alley. Thanks as always. You are correct; the remaster doesn't seem to do much more than add some extra gain and compression, which it doesn't really need.
Thanks for this one, again. Lovely show! I downloaded a version of this show last year and this sounds better to me! Thank you very much!!! Fantastic description of this amazing concert. I really appreciate it. The only thing I can bitch about is that you did not mention that "Sometimes I'm Happy" is not a Sabbath song.
Once again, thanks for the post. I think you need to mention that Iommi completely misses part of the riff during one section of "Snowblind".
That said, I agree that this is an outstanding show. I was lucky enough to be at this show. Mountain opened and was in top form.
I remember at some point Ozzy announced that the show was being recorded for an upcoming KBFH show and I listened for months never to hear it. What a surprise and a flood of memories from hearing this again!
I'll take a look for it over the next few days, when I'm working on the next special post. Im very late to the party lol Love this article, very well written and appreciativly read. Im new to blogger have 2 I contribute to, I'll refer to your fine writing to learn more skill. Thank you. Better late than never, the links still work, Glen! Unfortunately I cannot gain credit for the long article about this bootleg just the initial introduction and a bit of editing.
You are most welcome to provide a guest writing contribution to the blog as is anyone else. Just attach it to an email, the address is on the right-hand side panel.
On publishing it you will find yourself credited. Your piece can be about the Sabbath bootleg or any other of your choice or your thoughts on bootlegs in general. I was at this show. It was my first concert. Lead off band sucked and were boo'd off the stage after maybe 2 or 3 songs. I was right up front. Looking at the stage on the right side. Ozzy was right in front of me. Saw Sabbath 12 more times over the years, always with Ozzy. Hi, I was at this show.
The opening act was Leslie West and Mountain. They killed it! Mountain did Mississippi Queen for the encore. Definitely not booed off the stage! Crowd loved Mountain as much as Sabbath. One of the best concerts I ever saw! I was there - the opening act was called Fireballet. I don't remember them being boo-ed off the stage but I know hardly anyone was paying attention to them.
Thank you very much I was looking for this for long time I had in mp3 somewhere, listened a lot As well the cover art. Its beautiful. Excellent work. Appreciate your comments above guys. It is a superb show, indeed one that will be listened to for many years to come. This is so, so good! The quality is incredible too. Thank you so much for sharing. Another bootleg bites the dust sending this blog into oblivion!!!!
Seriously it's good news for those Sabbath fans that just listen to the OR stuff. Surprising really how long it's gone without an Official Release. Let's hope they do it justice and don't destroy the sound quality by brickwalling etc.
